| Re: Implants, nasty or nice??? bothered me so much I looked it up - it says some implants require stitches and "the main risk from this is that of infection from unclean materials being inserted, or air spaces within the item corrupting the healing process."
Oh and this - totally would put me off it alone http://www.primitiveorigins.co.uk/noot.htm

| Re: Implants, nasty or nice??? On the subject of implants, scarification and branding, though, fair enough if anyone wants it done.
The metal mohawk is probably one of the best pieces of body modification I've seen, though. It really is utterly ace.
So meh, it's all just another form of body midification. If you want it done, you want it done, and as Brian said, if done well it can look skillo, but if done bad it can look gash. |

| Re: Implants, nasty or nice??? As someone said, if it's done right it can look excellent. I really like this scarification...
I guess compared to tattoos it's impossible to get fine detail so you've gotta make the design big/bold to look decent. I'd consider getting something like that done, but i'd probably rather use the space for more ink though. The experience and high after getting it done must be even more intense than being tattooed.
Kali - do you remember that guy at the Blackpool tattoo con with the big metal spikes right down his arms? He had the little screw section at the bottom of each spike implanted so he could just screw on the big spikes when required. Did look kinda cool... |
