| Scarification? i've been thinking about getting scarred instead of a tattoo as its more subtle as well.
does anyone know anything about it such as how its done? (i'm assuming its more technical that cutting the skin and letting it heal)

| Re: Scarification? There's an old thread somewhere, try a search. Basically no one's gonna do it for you legally in the UK so best to do it yourself if you must. Or take up sjonit on his generous offer. |

| Re: Scarification? There are places that will do scarification, but if i were you i'd only go to a body modifier that i knew VERY VERY well for something like that. You can have a form of scarring done legally, basically having a tattoo with no ink in it... That will form a scar instead of just thick fuck off random lines.

| Re: Scarification? I now someone who does scarification, branding, implants, suspensions, piercings, the lot. And from what i've seen she's very good at it. However, she's only training at the moment, but she's building up her portfolio and doesnt charge more than the price of materials (usually).
If u've got an Iam account on BME, you can check out her page, she's IAM:Vampy. If not, you can check out her website (that's not updated very regularly) at www.vampy.co.uk |

| Re: Scarification? The tattoo idea sounds ok, but you might wanna try it with white ink. I'll be getting pic of my star soon so you can see what I mean.

| Re: Scarification? might get myself branded then, but since its going to hurt like hell i think i'll wait until i'm positive i want it done, or i might just go for the ink cos its pretty small (i've had it penned on for 2 weeks now and still like it, its maybe 1/2 square inch in size though so probably wouldnt brand well anyway

| Re: Scarification? i really dont see why people would want to brand or scar when they can get tattoos. Tattoos are much easier to get, less painful, look MUCH nicer, safer etc. |

| Re: Scarification? if scarification is done properly i think it looks a lot better than a similar tattoo. plus you can have your arms scarred below the sleeve line and still not worry about showing your interviewer your tattoos
