| Re: scarification Skin removal is probably the most painful, but most striking when healed form of scarification - it really does look class when healed
It'll look fab, so good luck!
I quite fancy getting a nape piercing by Vampy if she's doing the punch&taper method in the near future...Have to save up to travel down, though. |

and she seemed to emphasise that it wasn't too painful, like tattoo pain for the outline and some other random painless type thing for the actaul removal. |

| Re: scarification I've got a branding and it is meant to look raised and blobby. In fact I had to pick the scab off as often as I could manage to make sure it raised and didn't just go pale and thin looking. Maybe it's different for cuttings |

Scarification - any modification using scarring to aquire desired result EG. branding, skin removal, cutting etc
Branding IS a form of scarification - I ASSUME you mean either cutting or skin removal... |

Scarification is much easier to control | branding with a soldering iron on YOURSELF is for a start, rediculoulsly silly. when your endorphins/adrenaline start pumping you will start to lose control to a degree, i had trouble pushing a needle straight through me never mind doing somthing which would take 20 minutes or so minimum.
and tbh, branding should be much easier to control as you do not need to deal with different consitancies (for want of a better word) of flesh as you would with cutting. |

Should've made that more clear I think skin removal would be just as difficult to control as branding. The big scars on my leg where the skin was flesh was gouged out looks messy as fuck, even though the original hole was quite neat.
