Re: kite surfing

not kite surfing, but I do kite land-boarding.

I'd suggest doing some weights before going to build up your forearms as it hurts like a bastard after a while.

Have you flown a power kite before? If not then I'd find someone who has one and have a play about with it until you get used to it.

It's a dangerous sport tho, I've had some pretty bad knocks just from the kite, it's worse when you have a board under your feet!

Re: kite surfing

After having to cancel last year's trip due to breaking myself, I'm finally going to get to try kite surfing this week. I've got a few days of lessons booked in Tarifa. Its going to be awesome.

Yeah, I saw that in the paper yesterday. He's apparently still in critical condition.

Awesome...how'd it go?
I started kitesurfing in thailand at the start of the summer...much warmer than back here...now regularily go down at barassie near glasgow...bit colder...steamer hood and all tht jazz...but once out on the water barely notice the cold

I got myself a kite...cabrinha omega 9m...and board...airush switch...when i was out in thailand...save a fair buck on the uk price
