Skating In Glasgow

I was just wondering what everyone thought about the general standard of skaters in glasgow. I used to do a wee bit of skateboarding when I was in school(was rubbish), and i was surprised how good the skaters were in kelvingrove when I just happened to walk by last week.

Has the skatepark helped improve the standard of skater, or have the guys always been good?

The park has vastly improved the Glasgow Skater's and B.M.X'rs from the new younger generation, but the standard in general has always been quite high.
