Inline skate/rollerblade recommendations please!

I'm looking to buy a pair of inline skates/rollerblades but I've got no idea what to look for.

I'm only wanting to skate casually around my estate and parks like that so nothing too serious but I would like a decent and lasting pair.

Reckon £60 to £80 is the most my mum will give me for them so that's my spending limit too.

Also, where in Glasgow city centre would be best to purchase them or has the most variety in respect of style?

Thanks in advance!

Katinacooker is probably your best bet for something like this

Re: Inline skate/rollerblade recommendations please!

You'll probably want a pair of Recreational or fitness ksates then, stay clear of the hockey and aggressive tbh if its just gliding etc u wanna do.

Its important to get the right size skate or it will feel uncomfortable and will hinder your learning. So ye id suggest trying them on in quite thick socks, remember the skate wont stretch like shoes so get the right size :>>

Ive had roces and salomon skates and they were both excelent. Comapnies like Nike make good fitness kates aswell now so branded sports comapnies are a viable option.

Greaves sports used to do a fairly good range of skates, and I believe there is a place in buchanan galleries that sell a broad range too.

To be honest, you won't get much for £80. At least nothing that will provide comfort and last. Take a look at Kates Skates for an idea of what you could get. Salomon, Seba, K2 and Rollerblade are all decent makes to look out for.

Re: Inline skate/rollerblade recommendations please!

I'll put some money into it myself if they're really worth it but I'm unemployed at this moment in time and my next ema instalment isn't for about another month.

Thanks for the link, I'll have a look now

Re: Inline skate/rollerblade recommendations please!

Theres a group that meet for regular skates in and around Glasgow. They seem to use parks and cycle paths. I've never joined them myself, but I do enjoy the group street skates in London.
