| Snowboarding 08/09 Anyone got any trips booked yet? I'm getting quotes at the moment for Davos and Whistler for a February trip. Anywhere else that you would recommend for snowboarding? Last year we went to La Thuile in January, it was empty so great for learning but it wasn't the best for snowboarding, more suited to skiers. |

You have the choice of a couple of resorts, namely Morzine and Avoriaz.
Morzine is great for people learning or wanting a relaxing run, Avoriaz is then great for everything!!
They are literally across the road from each other. The lift up the Morzine side is a 200m walk to the list up Avoriaz.
Other benefits include a busy town with loads of bars/clubs/shops/fitties |

| Re: Snowboarding 08/09 Val D'Isere is one of my favourite places in the world, and definitely the best place in the Alps- it has everything you could possibly want from a ski resort whilst still keeping it's old French mountain town charm.

My boyfriend did a season out there last year/start of this year and i went out to see him in february. I had just started learning to snowboard at that point so pretty much limited myself to the nursery slope(fell off the ski lift EVERY TIME i used it). Brians a skier though and he loves it there, infact ive got a video of him in the park which i think i showed you when u were looking for a camera that attaches to a helmet.
Theres an amazing restaurant there, ill find out what its called, it had japanese food and thai which was virtually unheard of there - i got sick of french restaurants. Dicks T bar was amazing to go and party in and petit danois good for breakfast! God this is taking me back. Im jealous i wish i was going this year
I just bought a new snowboard today and im itching to use it somewhere that isnt bellahouston or xscape! |

| Re: Snowboarding 08/09 Anyone been up north yet this season? Went up to Glenshee last Monday to find it closing due to lack of snow so trooped on up to the Lecht. Icy shite snow, scratched board but still a decent day |

| Re: Snowboarding 08/09 Only a week until I head to Val d'Isere now. Thinking about taking my kite to try some snowkiting on the lake at Tignes and maybe the glacier. |
