Local snowboard hire

Thinking of heading up to Nevis at the weekend. I haven’t snowboarded in years—can anyone recommend somewhere for board rental? I don’t fancy renting at the slopes, want to pick up gear either in Glasgow or on the way up there.

Re: Local snowboard hire

I don't think Clan are still on the go these days, at least not for hire.

My brother usually uses these guys when he doesn't bring his own:

But I don’t like spending money.

Looks like it might be Glencoe instead, on Saturday morning.

Good to know. Dunno why I thought they were gone.

Think their shutters were down last time I passed but that might be because it was a Sunday.

Just cause the websites still paid for doesn't mean they are there best to give a call.

True. I'd still go with Ski 'n Boardroom (if I could actually snowboard).

The outdoor place at the Crow Road retail park is really good and cheap Tony, can't remember the name on the actual store though

Leave very early.

And the gear to rent up at Coe isn't that bad...And it's very cheap.

The very place. They hire the full kit - think I was £30 for board, boots and trousers the last time I went. Probably gone up now but still, it's a decent place.

That's decent. Another one I'll bear in mind if I can ever get the guts to try snowboarding again.

I used to live across the road from that place, yet I completely forgot about it. Typical.

Cheers everyone. I picked up a second-hand board and bindings tonight instead. Already have boots. Just need to grab some trousers tomorrow lunchtime, seems mine don’t fit now that I’m old and fat. D’oh.
