| Don't buy a bike off the net, you'll never have any idea how it'll feel on you. Go to a good bike shop like Alpine (Great Western Rd. or Glasgow Outdoor Centre) or Dales Cycles (just up from Buchanan Bus Station). No, these are not plugs, I don't work there, but I wish I did

| buy a bike of the net all you like....but try and find the bike in a shop before parting cash with it for as Abstinence says you wont know if the design will fit your body etc.
But to be perfectly honest even that might not help you. I had a mate that insisted on only buying a bike after test riding it. He liked it, bought it and brought it out for a run with us. After an hour of riding his back was sore and his knees were get torn to shreds from the inside. It turns out that while his ride position on the bike was comfortable for the short time he was testing, it didnt click in his head that the front end was a little to light and he was constantly putting more pressure on the handle bars than usual causing the back pain...and the positioning of the pedals in relation to the rest of the bike put undue pressure on his knees with every down stroke..thats easily fixed by moving the seat about but it wasn't a comfortable ride after that.
Basically its a lottery...go with what you know |

I always either go to Dales or go through to Edi bike .... which I've done a few times when Dales haven't had what I've wanted d'oh!
