| [Biking and BMX] Scrapes and bangs (split from BSX...)
THAT'S a scrape!
Medium speed through the pedestrian Clyde Tunnell - hit a slippery spot, ended up having a little discussion with the wall.
Grated my face, my specs flew about 20 feet down the tunnel, and I bled ALL OVER the place.
Including into my phone, trying to call my mates who'd been in front of me and hadn't noticed when I bailed.
The wall behind me was covered in handprints where I wiped the blood off myself. Big pool roudn my feet too. Needed to get to hospital so didn't get any photos of that.
Was OK though... cycled to hospital, got checked out for skull-fracturage, got sent home as "Merely mildly concussed".
Yeah, when can we do it again?! |

| Meh, did worse. Not gory like, but I knocked my shoulder so hard a few months ago, well, I think it almost popped out of the socket!

| At the start of January, second day back at work, I hit some black ice, got in a sideways slide and crashed into some concrete blocks...... picked myself up, cycled home, ripped longs (2nd time on! ), blood all over knee - enough to damage tattoo
Thinking about it, knee was really fucked for about 2 weeks and tried to ride a few times and had to limp home... couldn't even drive for first few days.....
First day back on bike massively buckled back wheel..... took it into Dales and they pointed out the big split in my rim....
50 odd quid and a week later and a complete rebuild using my hub and freewheel sorted it out.
Still waiting for knee to heal to a state I can get the tattoo touched up....

| i grated my face into a pavement once
that was from getting a piggy back off someone then flying down a hill into concrete.
rev saw my face afterwards, not even at it's worse, my nose was the same width at top as at bottom and my eyes were tiny slits surrounded by puffy green skin, scabs on my forehead, between my eyes, tip of my nose, top lip and chin - still have a white lumpy scar between my eyes. |

| Oh dear GOD, that sucked!
She was on someone's shoulders, going DOWN the hill towards Sauchiehall Street from Hill Street.
If you've seen how steep those bastard hills are, you'll know that when the guy who she was sitting on fell over, she FELL!
Total height of about 3 metres, face first to the pavement.

| You, know, come to think of it, I don't actually crash that often. But when I do, trust me, it's spectacular! I let you know when I do.
And yeah, hairier!

| Well, here goes my story.
While learning to ride a bike, when i was about eight, i was riding down the steep hill my house is on.
Not remembering how to brake, i keep gaining speed till i'm flying, and i'm shouting at the top of me lungs, when i hit a fairly large stone, which sends me flying over the handle bars.
I go flying into a stone wall, mouth still wide open remember, and spilt my tounge across the way(till it's only just hanging on.(As well as other various cuts and bumps)
Got rushed off to casualty(with a tea towel in my mouth, to stop me swalling my own tounge) and got 48 stiches in it.
Am proud of that one, and might be the reason i never did learn to ride a bike.
