| [Biking and BMX] skate park somewhere in dumbarton?
so someone was telling me the other day about a skate park in dumbarton that this guy who used to be a courier (or mibbe still is a courier it's not really relevant, other than it means i should know him and i don't) has, like, opened some sort of skate park in dumbarton?
anyone heard of it/ been/ wants to go (once i get round to actually buying a bmx, obv.)?

| I would go, but I'm pretty sure there's no skatepark in Dumbarton. I may not be right, coz I've never actually been there, but I've never heard anything about it, so either it doesn't exist or it's so crap no-one talks about it. Sorry.

| no, there is, i found out more about it today. it's not quite open yet, waiting on planning permission or something. 12,000 sq ft, and dry, and apparently geared more towards bikes than blades or boards. and ok, it's in dumbarton (which is a scary scary place), but still.

| uh, by planning permission i meant 'something vaguely related to health and safety + the council'. not the sort of planning permission you need to build stuff, cuz it's built already.

| Hmm, I'll have to check this if my bike is ever fixed. If Halfords can't sort this tomorrow, I'm screwed, coz I have no cash and my next free service (at Alpine so everything will work) isn't til May!

| yeh guys, this park is pretty kewl from my sk8er boi's point of view anyway. try and go with someone thats been before, it took us 25 minutes to find it the first time. and it was closed about a month ago or something because the council said it was too close to a gas silo and there was insufficient parking, full of shit reaons... hopefully it will reopen soon. | |
