| I used to get major problems from having numb bits after long rides, but a specialized body geometry saddle with a cut out bit sorted that out.... as for sore ass...... shouldn't be too bad.... where you wearing technicals or civvies?

| Saddles work of the devil?
If it wasn't for the saddle wouldn't you be sitting on a large, sharp, erect pole?
Ouch!
I think you owe saddles an apology.

| Ok, you might get funny looks from sales assistants if you do this, but go int othe shop, pick a saddle and stick it between your legs. It should fall out. The saddle should actually be quite thin. Mines doesn't really do much anyway. The only time it's up is for going to and from work. The rest of the time it's right down. I took the reflector off as well, just so I can get it that wee bit lower. It makes it easier when you're jumping and doing trialsey stuff.

And my front lights are 5 & 10 watts, and you're supposed to use a 2.4.....
I'm such a rebel!

| I don't think you need a reflector *shrugs*
I always use my lights at night anyway, I don't want my bike to get mangled by a big truck!

At night your cycle MUST have front and rear lights lit. It MUST also be fitted with a red rear reflector (and amber pedal reflectors, if manufactured after 1/10/85). White front reflectors and spoke reflectors will also help you to be seen. Law RVLR regs 18 & 24

| there was also some law that required bike lamps to have filament bulbs in them. That ment all the LED lamps you had were illegal if used on their own.
The funny thing was all the cops use LED lights on thier bikes
I'll need to find out if that was ever changed |
