start on a small ledge/step so you dont have the fear. practice stalling first so you know you can lock on and balance. once you can do that try it with a comfortable speed. most/all of your weight goes on your soul foot, and lean slightly forward.

like anything else in skating, just fucking go for it, no half arsed efforts, if you go into not commited, you will fall. but if your on a small step, i can almost guarantee you wont hurt yourself...

have a go behind the GOMA, at borders, the steps there are always waxed cos of the skateboarders, and they are way low. i learned to grind on em.

Yeah i totally agree wit "just fucking go for it, no half arsed efforts, if you go into not commited, you will fall. " I totally believe in that. I wont go for stuff unless in pretty confident ill pull it off. If u approach something knowing you cant do it youll never land it. Best advice is start low and slow and build up. U cant just wake up one day and do switch ups at business. Its taken me nearly a year and i can only do basic ones.

I dont think that u think that (if that makes sense) but i know alot of the little wanker children that i see skating about think that they can jus wake up one day and go down massive handrails. Me and kev saw some kids jumping down buchanen galleries steps and boasting "i cud pure get on that man" They piss me off so much. How does every1 else feel bout the "image skaters"?

Yeah ill def b there if its dry!! Was out last nite in killie and learned backside farv to soul. Yay, i got the extreme 'new trick rush' wit that one. Hopefully i can pull it off on a rail/ledge. i learned it on this cool bench. Its a bit like coping cos theres a fat rail (at the front of the bench) which you grind at the rest of the bench is like stuck onto the side of the rail so is like coping. That prob makes no sense to any1 apart from me, kev and fraser but hey.
