Blantyre Skatepark official opening

on saturday the official opening of blantyre skatepark is happening
it'll be all cleaned up and fixed for the day so u guys have tocome check it out
the thing starts at 12 and ends at 4
ther'll be pro skaers doing demonstrations and some bands. . .solus,nerve and anxiety state
it's gona be a good fun day and stuff
if u want directions just ask coz it's pretty easy to get to by bus or train

damn, that wud ave been good but im working. Lots of good skaters and bands will b all good. I did enjoy it last time but the neds are a major problem. Ive got a nasty feeling itll b pissing it down tho!

BUS DIRECTIONS - get a 267 from union street....u can get a 263 but it's a trek btw......
the 267 bus will go through rutherglen main steet then cambuslang main street then it will passy through some farm land and come into another slightly biggish town.....it goes in a straight line down blantyre main street and goes by an asda. . . ..there is an asda and a big brownish building to your left. . .the blantyre sports centre(or leisure centre if ur nu-blantyre)
you have to get off at this and go down to the grassy area at the back of the sports centre. . . .there's a wee building and then hopefully u'll see the skatepark behind it

TRAIN DIRECTIONS - get the train for the undergorund bit of central to blantyre then when u get off at blantyre cross over to the other side of the bridge over the rail tracks to where the ticket office for the train station is situated. . . .if u take the big stone bridge it's ok aswell. . .aither way when u leave u will find yourself on a road. . .one side goes down a big hill and the other side leads you up a road.. . .do not go back to the side you got off the train which is the big hill. . .(this is important as that area is super dodgy) but instead head up the street, when ur walking up the street you will eventually see on the left side a large space with some gates heading down into a park( a big grassy area with football pitches) go down through the gates and follow the path and behind the trees is the skatepark

So whats this skatepark like then? Is it better than the one in Livvy.Only asking becuase im seriously thinking about getting back on my board.Been off it now for about 6years due to fucked knee and would like somewere close by to get back into it.
