Halfords. Their service is shite but there tools are top notch. I'm lucky to have a mechanic dad so all the tools I need are right there.

bills tool store up the barras, they have good quility tools for the money.halfords stuff is not bad but only buy the proffesional stuff cos it has a lifetime guarentee.overpriced all the same.
get a half inch rachet and a extension bar,19 and 15 mm deep section sockets,10mm spanner and an allan key set.
also get a spoke key and read internet sites to learn how to maintain your bike.

hope this helps

And I use a T-bar instead of a rachet. Sure, it takes more time, but you can get more torque with a T-bar.

cheers eddie and boyhitscar, i'd heard of barras bill's, so i'll hunt that one out, i'd expected halfords to be overpriced, so never bothered with it, but i've been getting by with a pretty good tool selection at my work

i've still to saw my bars down though, dreading making an arse of it

get yourself a pipe cutter from a plumbers merchant,it will cut the bars down nice and straight. saves using a hach saw and will make it look nice and neat.bills tools will sell them as well!

Why exactly do you need to cut the bars?

the reason you cut your bars down is that it makes the bike feel more stable and easier to control.also you dont want a bar in the stomach when you do an x up or a bar spin.stock bars come a certain length and people cut them down to suit their own riding.

Ah-ha. I'm kinda new to BMX to first I've heard of that. My bars are fine. Guess the guy I got the bike from was around same size as me.
