| Re: Worst injuries I've dislocated my knee's before however the worst was when on dislocating my left knee I smashed it off the ground. I broke part of my knee cap off and after an operation to remove the bone I ended up with an infection in my knee joint (which the IRH denied for weeks).
The pain of infection is horrendous. |

| Re: Worst injuries Whislt doing my sport, I shattered my tib and fib and severe dislocation of my ankle (I was also unable to call any ambulance and had to get extracted from an inclosed area and driven 100 miles to a hospital). I required 3 surgeries(a 4th one sometime this year), including: bone graft, realignment, 3 pins, a plate and 8 screws, then repinning and replating with 3 pins, a plate and 12 screws.
I was laid up and on crutches for 8 months and will limp a little for the rest of my life. I lost my job because of my injury, and got into debt as I was unable to work for almost a year.
I was out of my sport for 11 months and going back was the biggest smile I ever had!
Sometimes you have to pay to play................... |

| Re: Worst injuries Had my jaw broken in 2 places. I have metal plates holding it together, can't feel part of my face. Lost a few teeth an couldn't eat solid foods for quite some time.... or talk properly. I still can't shave properly due to the loss of feeling and my teeth have pretty much all gone to hell.
Broken cheek bone, Broken ankle, Broken my nose a few times, Broken 4 fingers. 8 bones in the past year. Had a nail put through my foot once too. Been knocked down. Fallen off bikes, skateboards, cars an attacked by a few dogs.
Oh, an a tree hit me with a metal pole, splitting my head open.
I'm accident prone. |

| Re: Worst injuries One of the doctors in my work broke his back wake-boarding, and another one broke some ribs whilst kite-surfing. Thats the most extreme injuries I've heard of personally.
The most I've broken is a nail. |
