| Question About Skates I'm planning on getting some new skates for my 18th, and I was wondering whether I would be better with recreational or aggressive skates.
I used to skate a lot when I was younger, but this time around I'd like to start actually going to skate parks n such, rather than just sticking to local surroundings.
I plan on spending a good portion of my summer learning how to skate again..so what's the better option?
Much help appreciated.

| Re: Question About Skates I'm not sure about my budget, since it's the 'rents that are payin' it. They pretty much said get what I want n they'll see what they can do. Right now I'm likin' Anarchy Combat/Panik ones.

| Re: Question About Skates Anarchy suck dick... but if you are not sure your gonna carry it out then don't buy top of the line skates. I would point you towards K2s but that only because i like skating good skates :P:P http://www.rollersnakes.co.uk
then go 2 the inline store. Will give you an idea of the different skates. But the best brands are K2, Salamon, Rollerblade and Razor, in my opinion. It all depends on what you feel most comfortable in. If you have Ebay, some people i know have got good deals on skates, basically people like Neil, selling hardly used skates. |

| Re: Question About Skates *thumbs up*
I've had a good look around at skates, and I still think I'm going with the Anarchy ones, mostly cause they're not AS expensive, and a few folk have told me they're not bad for beginners.
Thanks for the advice/link though

| Re: Question About Skates Really though. I'd go for a low end pair of salomons! Shop around and you'll probably get them just as cheap as the anarchy's and they'll last you much longer and serve you better...trust me, i've been street skating for at least 8 years and i've been though maybe 8 pairs and 6 different maunufacturers and salomon are the way (imo) to go if you're starting out. |

| Re: Question About Skates To be fair anarchy look like theyre makin decent skates these days. A lot of the beginners r rockin them these days. I learned on salomon and was pretty impressed altho if u do take it up and get more expensive ones youll b gutted u didnt get them 2 start. I learned sooooooooo many tricks in the month after I got my rollerblades.
But yeah, if i were u id go for salomon or anarchy as a pair 2 get u into it. ANd once u start and are down the skatepark u can try on other ppls 2 c wot feels right. And if u ave freakishly large feet u can try on allys K2s
Oh, im not a fan of rollersnakes. Try www.ukskate.com Free P&P and generally better.

| Re: Question About Skates yass, you guys should hit the skatepark with those bad boys.
I'd also be in the group to reccomend some low end salomons. I've never skated anarchy so i don't really know how good they are, they seem to be getting better, but I skate salomon now and can vouch for them being great. plus, they've been in the industry longer than anarchy. the best thing to do is get to a skate shop if you can to try some on. Greaves probably stock some skates I'd imagine, so you could try there.
and I'm with brian. I always buy from UKSkate.com if I can. They put more back into the rolling industry than anyone else. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW
anyone think I could fit a size 9? |

| Re: Question About Skates i was talking to a guy i used to skate with today on the X1 into town. we were talking about how we've not skated in a long time,
i'm always tempted to drag the K2's out the cupboard and get back to learning aggrissive shit. however, i think football is harsh enough on my knees for the time being.
