Question Climbing in Glasgow ( not sure if this counts as extreme )

hey just wondering if any of you folks go climbing in glasgow? The church just down from ibrox to be exact.......

my mate (who is considerably lighter than me ) was belaying me when i fell and that caused him to be dragged off his feet and wel crahsed into each other.........ahh i was laughing but he didnt find it funny


i go when i can but cant always make it due to lack of people to belay me......i was looking to see how many folks go as i was thinking about trying to arrange something..................

I've been a member of the climbing centre for years now. I used to be pretty good but i dont go often enough anymore to keep that up

i suck still, still got a long way to go till im fit enough to lead rope climb but i want to get to that level. could be doing with getting rid off some poundage here my mate who belays me strugles to stay on the ground now and again

thats a fair point! erm i dont know i think it was £6.50 for the day last time i was there but no doubt it will have gone up. I dont know how much the gear it to hire.

yeah, i go there climbing's ace, also go to the wee bouldering wall at kelvinhall thoo it's not so good and a bit of outdoor climbing..head to dumbarton rock it's wicked

That looks well good... i've been meaning to get into this for a bit (trying to expand the sports I do, currently learning to snowboard) - is the £60 introductory course worth it? Anyone done it?
