is there not a large artificial snow place down your way? (nearer essex than glasgow anyway). much better than a dry slope anyways...

Snowboarding is something i'm dying to get into too.Is taking lessons if possible at a dry ski slope a good place to start?

Dont use your own! Dry slopes fuck your board so badly! Only down side of getting one of theres is no Stomp Pads on them!

I don't even know what stomp pads are.Its something thats always interested me I guess I just need to get out there and try it to see if i'd actually enjoy it.

Stomp pads are there so you can get a grip of your board without using your bindings. like one foot in a binding the other on the stomp pad. Its like sandpaper on the deck of your board!
