Re: Snowboarders?

bellahoustons getting done up soon but slopes in an ok conditon even tho i fell, ambulance etc. but last snowboarder i seen fall bad took a chunk out of her leg was pretty gruesome for sure. new one at braeheads open soon but gonna be really expensive probably. bellas good for learning mind you but watching begginer snowboarders use the tow is hilarious. and annoying for skiiers...

Re: Snowboarders?

How much does a basic snowboard cost? Can you get a bundle deal with boots too? And do I still have to wear day-glo clothes and goggles on my forehead?

Re: Snowboarders?

You can get some decent deals on boards/bindings, some throw in boots some don't. For beginners kit I think you'll get it somewhere between £150-250 - there seem to be some good deals on Option stuff the now. Also your better asking about last seasons boards cause you'll get a better board at a cheaper price.
If it's your first board your buying see if you can buy it at your resort 'cause the shops will normally let you take it out on a test run.
Day-glo = optional, but only if you want to rock the 80's style
Gogs on forehead = NO! All the cool kids wear them at the back of the neck

Re: Snowboarders?

Could I borrow someone's board to try it out in Scotland sometime? Thank god for the day-glo. I saw some skiers and snowboarders on TV (think it was the Olympics) with goggles on their foreheads...
