| Re: Mountain Boarding I do it. Been so for about a year.
I have a Scrub Furnace creek that will probably still set you back about £200
I only bought that one as I needed a really strong board cos im big but you will be able to get a lighter, smaller board for a cheaper price.
Make sure you buy one with Channel trucks as the skate trucks dont hold up in really bumpy conditions.
Also id recommend buying a brake kit if you are worried about deckin it at high speeds.
Full safety kit is essential so you must invest in a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards, so the price can add up!
Gimme a minute and ill looik out some good links

| Re: Mountain Boarding nah go to Cotswold Outdoor in Partick. They have a pretty good selection of high quality boards.
Tiso Advernture Centre has a range of more entry level boards |

| Re: Mountain Boarding I got a nice cheap BluEarth from SnoCore on Union Street, cost less than £80... gives a nice taster.
I figure if I'm still doing it in a year, I'll save up for a nice noSno with suspension...mmm.
Kelvinpark is the closest place to practice, although occasionally the parkies will throw you onto the pavements if it's been raining (they fear you'll rip up the grass). It's got some nice gentle slopes in it... but you could be quite creative. |
