| Re: XScape Braehead Aye, the combined off-peak sessions are the key. The ones i'm interested in:
Fresh Trax (sic): £29 for 3 hours, first thing on weekday mornings
Weekender: £30 for 4 hours, 7-11 on a Sunday.
Those prices include skis/boots/poles, or board + boots, but NOT waterproofs, which are extra. There was no mention at the preview centre about reductions for bringing yer own kit (since I'm on the cusp of getting my own board anyway). If uptake's high enough, they're chatting about getting a membership for reductions for regular go-ers.
The fandrop won't be opening for another month or 6 weeks, apparently.
Well interested in the climbing wall (having done some late last week while I was away), but i'm not sure how much I trust auto belays... heh.
I'll be going at least once a month. Hell yeah.
Edit: Oh, if you can't link turns and use a poma, you'll be asked to take one or two lessons first, apparently. The snow patrol have been instructed to remove people who can't and 'may pose a danger to themselves and others'.
Since I can link turns and have been shown *how* to use a poma (i'm just not very good), does that mean I can go on anyway? |

I'll definitely have some shots of the slope and the fan drop when it opens.
Early morning Skiiing followed by a trip to Ikea for a cheap lunch then back in town for 2 to do some uni work may be a feature of my summer.

I'm up for the slope, just claimed a new board on insurance after my old one got lifted by some crooked bastard at Glenshee. Not had a chance to test it out yet...Price of a session doesn't exactly fill me with joy when you consider a student day pass up north is only £19...but i suppose that sunday 7-11 offer isn't too bad. |

You get stopped by a fan at the bottom before you splat on the ground and die.
I might head along on Thursday night.

| Re: XScape Braehead Opening party! £21!! i can go skiing at the dry slope for £2 and go on all day if i really wanted. Suppose it is a dry slope but still, its quiet and has a nice wee bar. Hope they give reductions to ppl with their own boots or that. |
