XScape Braehead Opening party!

the opening thing was a bit pish last night though the place looks really good

the obstacle course which is suspended like 50ft up is pretty cool

never got to see the slopes though and most of the shops were closed

and you cant get on the slopes until youve had at least 5 lessons or you can show that you have a certain skill level

The place was rather swish with just brand new opening but the snow & slope (kinda important) was really good, the jumps they'd build for last night seemed right hefty so they've obv got plenty to sculpt with as well.
None of the pipers fell over though - I wanted one to go and the rest to domino

I'm sure someone will write a nice wee round up of the evening and proper thoughts on the place in the next day or two, shame I couldn't get better pics of the actual building & slope but only half the slope was lit fully for the exhibition we saw and xscape's own pics show off the interior much better than I could have during the opening night

I've never tried to ski or snowboard in my life. I'd really like to try out the beginner lessons for a bit of fun. 27quid for an hour though.
Still, keeps me away from the pub!

I booked my 3 hour lesson for snow boarding just there. Can't wait.

Going to do a few, really want to take this up as a hobbie.

Not long till i can drive, so will be easy as chuck for me just to go for a few hours. Yas.
