Are you asking:
- Does the correct recipe for an omelette include milk?
or
- When you're making an omelette, do you put in milk?

Therefore, the purpose of the poll is not to determine the correct recipe, but to gauge the preferences of the members of AltNation thus giving us an idea of the majority opinion.

Indeed. AFAIK the 'proper' way to make one calls for zero milk, but that doesn't stop the beastly and the wrong from defying this 
It's like people who put both butter and jam on a piece of toast. I mean what the fuck is that all about....
