| Re: merchant city restraunts City Merchant is my favourite in that neck of the woods. The Menus are on the web site (which is a bit garish, but the place itself is exquisite). Set dinner menu is £27.50 which is reasonable - it's a good restaurant. Scottish food in a similar vein to Stravaigin but more traditional setting. Specialises in fish/shellfish and game, but the steaks are also fantastic for people like me who are less intrepid.
Cafe Gandolfi on Albion Street is another reliable bet with two slightly different atmospheres to choose from upstairs and downstairs.
