Thai Fountain.
What was the last restaurant you ate in? What did you have?
Feel free to add any comments if you wish!
I'll start.
Thai Orchid
I had: spring rolls and chicken fried rice (adventurous)
Not bad, 2 course lunch for £7.95. Very attentive staff though.
harry ramsdens, YAS.
cod supper.
it tastes like their take away (funny that) but you pay 2 quid more for their plastic plants and staff that look a bit special.
Cafe Mao.
Hot an spicy chicken soup and something with noodles, be fucked if I can remember what.
two starters, two mains, couple of drinks- £45ish. - The people next to us were listening to our conversation.![]()
Do it or don't. I've got places to be.
I don't get how folk can happily shell out £45 for a meal.
Howies (Victoria Street, Edinburgh). I started with haggis, neeps and tatties with whisky sauce (which, fortunately, kept in the tradition of whisky sauces tasting fuck-all like they purport to) and then battered whiting with chips and mushy peas. I was hungover, and dismayed about my lunch-date's attitude toward 2pm wine, but still had fun.
Without evil there can be no good, so it must be good to be evil sometimes.

Oh god *thinks*.....errrr....restaurant....emmm... OH YES, engagement party in Manchester 2 weekends ago - nice Italian in Manchester - Croma I think it's called. Had some mozarella, tomatoes and mini dough balls for starter and then blue cheese pizza...mmmmm
I can't remember the name of the place but Steve and I last went to a steak place in merchant square. Food was fantastic, and since I wasn't paying I paid no heed to the bill.
If it's a special occasion or a much required treat I happily shell out up to £100. Mind you that's taking into consideration that it's a 3 course meal, a couple of large glasses of wine each and a £10 tip if I was pleased with the place.
Don't worry, you got away with it.
Cafe Pacifico in Covent Garden. Lots of mojitos and tequila.
£45 is pretty cheap for a meal for two, especially if it includes drinks.
Curlers on Wednesday. Decent food, cheap as shit.
