Got bored and made a British League in the English League
Basically I figured out the percentage of the population that each nation in the British Isles had in comparison to the total population then gave them an equal percentage (actually a few clubs extra than they deserves for the Celtic nations otherwise there would only have been three Northern Irish clubs for instance) of clubs in the English league system (all the way down to Conference North/South). Based the entrance for clubs based on their current posistion and historical status (I was very bored).... and I put in Morton. I also took out MK Dons for AFC Wimbledon for my own selfish reasons. I then placed the clubs in the pyramid based on their reputation (apart from Leeds who remain in League 1)
Old Firm in the Premiership
The entire rest of the SPL in the Championship
Most of the Eire clubs in League 1
Most of the N. I clubs in League 2 or Conference
Most the LOW clubs (well Llanelli, Barry and TNS) are in Conference N/S along with Merthyr Tydfill, Newport AFC and Colwyn Bay (as they are already in the English league it'd fuck the game up a little less).
Drawbacks to this system are: I still think there's too many English clubs in the league in general so, if I do it again, I'd perhaps put twenty clubs from the other nations in the English league, which would still leave a majority of English sides but would means you're aren't playing them practically every week, the attendances are fucked in favour of English sides. If you list the Championship sides by attendance, for instance, 11 SPL clubs are bottom, then Crystal Palace, then Aberdeen. In the other leagues it's all the Celtic sides who are bottom of the league for attendances too.
Apart from that it's pretty fun. I went Stafford Rangers (started unemployed) and I am doing really, really, really shit but Celtic were top of the Premiership for a while and are still in the Champions League places, Rangers are a good mid-table side. In the Championship the SPL clubs are all doing really well (apart from Hibs and Motherwell) and Falkirk were top for a while (now it's The Midden

)
Most the Welsh and Northern Irish sides are struggling but St. Pat's, TNS, and Derry are doing well
Morton are floating above the relegation spots after a good start but Luton and Leeds will pull away from there eventually
Will do some screen grabs at the end of the first season.
