| Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) Setanta 1, 6pm.
Game 2 of our pre-season and I'm into this. Carry out, kebab after and a whole evening of enjoyment ahead. Hopefully we can stick in a performance like we did during the week and hopefully Skoosh starts, he looked fantastic on Thur. C'MON THE HOOPS! |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) Yus, an excuse for early beers!
Trying to find a quiet pub in the city centre that has Setanta isn't easy without wandering around lots though. |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) I'm gonna miss this game. Pesky lack of Setanta.
Still, money wagered. Let's show these clock-making simpletons how football should be played. |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) Good first half performance, they looked dog tired in the second half so I'm not overly worried about the score. Good performances from McGovern and especially Bjarnson I thought. |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) It's like Groundhog Day in here at times.
Decent 1st half performance but the 2nd half wasn't so great to watch. YBOB look that extra yard sharper in most of the field which is to be expected at this stage.
Onwards to Peterborough on Friday. |

What was the score? |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) It may be pre season, but once again Celtic do not seem strong enough at the back.
Why has WGS gave almost every player a game so far with the exception of Darren O Dea?
The lad hardly put a foot wrong last season. |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) In what way did Celtic look shaky at the back exactly? They looked tired, but not shaky.
Adam Virgo didn't do much wrong, Bjarnson did an ok shift at full back despite not normally playing there..... I think it was a case of tiredness rather than the defence being weak. |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) Summer off, two days of training and a friendly, then another two days later.
No wonder they're fucking knackered. |

| Re: Celtic vs Young Boys of Berne (7th July) exactly, Strachan had them out that morning doing some pretty harsh training apparently.
You need to bear in mind that pre season games are for experimenting with players in different positions so I wouldn't read too much into a result. We were outstanding in the first half for example... |

The lad hardly put a foot wrong last season. | So far? You've only had two games and with Bobo, Pressley, McManus and Caldwell (and for my money probably another signing and maybe even Cuthbert) in line for a start ahead of him I don't think giving him a run out seems all that important.
