On the face of it, that was a strange deal for Rangers to do.
Until you look at it and realise it means he doesn't have 10years of costs running several Rangers Shops.
Interestingly enough, Rangers made nothing in bonuses/royalties from JJB as a result of reaching the UEFA cup final as all the bonus clauses are triggered by SPL and CL progress.

It wasn't that strange a deal, the bank wanted guaranteed income independent of footballing fortunes and £18m upfront and a £3m+ every year for the next decade shut them up. Shame they never saw a penny of all those Manchester 08 strips tho as bonuses are not activated by sales figures being met: they're linked to on field successes.

Rangers have told Kirk Broadfoot's agent that they will consider offers for the defender.
The Scotland international has a year of his contract remaining and the Ibrox club said in January that all their players were available for sale.
Broadfoot's agent had hoped to agree a new deal for the former St Mirren defender with his boyhood heroes.
He had hoped to agree an improved deal, but the club's financial problems have prevented a new contract.
The 24-year-old has featured regularly at right-back for Rangers since moving from the Buddies in 2007.
He arrived at St Mirren from Hibernian in 2002 and marked his Scotland debut with a goal in the World Cup qualifying win over Iceland last September.
He's only on 3k a week and they're humming and hawing over a new deal?
