| Re: The Official Rangers Thread Aye, when he was playing on the right wing for much of that and a lot of those appearances were as a sub. If Nacho plays as a striker every week he gets goals, fact. How many has he scored against Celtic? 6? He scores a lot of goals in Europe. |

Rangers have had their request for the postponement of Sunday's match against Gretna at Fir Park granted by the Scottish Premier League.
The Ibrox club wanted more time to prepare for their Champions League Group E qualifying decider against Lyon three days later.
| Celtic play two CL games and a game against Hearts within a week, but Rangers fear playing the mighty Gretna may tire them just too much. |

We don't want to pick up any more injuries and etc. | I know, I posted about it a couple of days ago in the Champions League thread. Celtic didn't ask 'cos they're not a bunch of shitebags. |

| Re: The Official Rangers Thread I don't agree with it myself because i think we should have a big enough squad to beat Gretna and rest our most important players, but anything that helps is a good thing and at least the boys should be rested up for the match. However it means that we will be playing catch-up constantly in the league which is never great. |

| Re: The Official Rangers Thread It's Farce that Rangers should be asking..And getting time off.
You should have a squad capable of coping with the demands. Moreover, you're playing the worst team in the league at a rented ground and you're playing your european match at home.
Tis the season to be cowardly.

| Re: The Official Rangers Thread I reckon that if Rangers started with Gow, Howard, Naismith, Ehiogu, Broadfoot, Murray, Faye if he's not in jail and Boyd ahead of the regular starters they'd still have beat Gretna. Everybody's happy to postpone it tho so it's a non issue at least until talk of a fixtures pile up crops up next year.

| Re: The Official Rangers Thread See the French teams they get the games re-arranged to give them the best chance of getting through so I don't see why the SPL can't accomodate our teams in Europe to give them the best chance to go through. |

| Re: The Official Rangers Thread I got Howard mixed up with Carroll: to me they're both miserable failures at Man U. I think that's enough Historic Bongoesque fuck-uppery from me for one day.

| Re: The Official Rangers Thread WGS has said plenty of times "we didn't get a break when I was a player, so why should they?"
It's a case of strachan not asking for a postponement, and Rangers asking.
Ye don't ask you don't get.
Fair play to Rangers.
Although its helpful, we shouldn't need it.
Fair play. |
