Bargain...IF, they get promoted.
Because the 50odd million TV will come in.
It looks like a deal is soon to be closed whereby multi-millionnaire, Marcus Evans will buy Ipswich Town Football Club. If the sale is agreed, ITFC's £35M debt will be wiped and around £12M will be made available to manager, Jim Magilton, to spend on players.
This might seem like small change to OF fans, but to ITFC, this is major news and should spell the end to a decade or more of difficult times where the club were forced into voluntary liquidation.
Marcus Evans is a recluse and is rarely photographed, but if this deal goes through he might become the quiet hero to the Tractor Boys. The team is currently 4th in the Championship and losing the debt they are in may help bolster a push for promotion this season.
Let the good times roll.
I want to teach the world, but not a song.
I need to tell them where they're going wrong:
To trust to serendipity not fate:
To just believe your heart and conjugate.

Do it or don't. I've got places to be.
Might I suggest a £3m bid for Bobo Balde, £3m for Stephen Pressley, £3m for Jiri Jarosik, and £2m for Derek Riordan?
You'd even have £1m left over to spend on diddy players.
I am in 2 minds about the player money. Magilton is doing an amazing job with youngsters and unknowns. If he has a load of money, will he forget what he has had to learn about management so far?
We have a winning team at the moment. I would be tempted to leave Magilton to try and keep up the pressure with the players he has and if we gain promotion, strengthen in the summer (and if not, buy players in the summer to push for promotion next year).
