He's made a significant difference since starting, but i can't see him making the same kind of difference to our team this year as he did last year...

He knows how to manage our team though, so I can see us doing equally well if not slightly better points wise, but much better footballing quality.

No way is Walter leaving. I always figured he was going to phase in Coisty more and more in the next few years, and eventually Super Ally would be the manager.

Well, with Milan finishing in the UEFA Cup spot it's going to be changes central for them I would imagine. The rumours about Kaka being sold to pay off the debt could come to fruition now they're missing out on Champions League money, plus he's far too good to be finishing fifth and playing in the UEFA Cup. Gattuso will be leaving, probably to one of the other big Italian teams or Bayern, Kalac and Dida are leaving (thankfully), Serginho and Cafu have been released after the game earlier. The other right back, Oddo, is supposed to be leaving after having a piss-poor season, and Gillardino is going to be moving to another Italian team to get playing time.

Maldini could be retiring, as announced last week and Nesta is getting far too slow so needs replacing as well. As for Ancelotti, he's apparently staying on which could mean Mourinho isn't taking his job after all.

Really cant see WGS walking to be honest, but i can however see him spending and selling big time in the summer
big clear out is defo needed Riordan, Sno, Doumbe, Killen, Donati, Graverson etc etc

If he stays in can see him outting a serious bid in for James McFadden

As for McGeady and Boruc i really can't see them going anywhere unless some really big offers are made

Now that Sunderland have stupidly given Roy Keane another £50m budget the story of the summer is going to be McGeady going to Sunderland for about £12m every frickin' day in the papers. For that amount he can leave though, and Boruc for £10m to AC Milan who're getting shot of Kalac and Dida or Arsenal who need a replacement for Lehman to fight Almunia for the #1 shirt.

I dunno how I feel about celtic getting rid of McGeady and boruc... they are outstanding players in scotland, and would love to see them leave celtic... but for a combined amount of 22mil, I dunno if i'd be too happy. Better the devil you know n all that.

I don't see Sno going anywhere, the boy's only 20 ffs.
Doumbe is on a 2 year contract, so we'll probably keep him for another year too.
Killen, Donati and Gravesen will probably all go, aye.
I don't want McFadden.
Especially nto at 6Million.

I'd far rather Celtic kept McGeady and Boruc than got £22m. They might get a new manager in the summer who knows how to spend money!

Strachan's done no bad with his signings.
Every manager in history has signed a few duds, it just that it seems to be Strachan's duds that make the papers more than his top quality signings.

I can see Sno going of his own accord, and I think JJPD's contract is up, so he might leave.

Personally I'd like to see both stay, and I'd like Donati to get another season.
Killen and Riordan can get to fuck though.

Both, at this point in time, are irreplaceable to Celtic.
No matter how much money you get.

You need to think realistically what both those players mean to the team, then think, even if we got £30million for the pair, what player worth over £15million is going to want to come to the SPL?

We've got plenty cash as it is the now, we just won't break the bank and risk debt again.

Not many.

We'd have the cash, but no-one to spend it on (quality wise to replace both). The cash would outweigh our target market.
Plus it's the new Celtic - low wage bill, young team, no huge buys. PLC would keep the majoirty of the dough.

The latest Mothewell player to be rumoured to be on the move is Mark Reynolds, £800k to Rangers. Good player, don't know if he's good enough for Rangers but at 21 he's still very young and with Weir collecting his pension and Cuellar surely on the move they need someone at Centre Back.

I know he's been "unhappy" in Scotland for just over a year now, I think pompy would be a good move for him.

Aye, but most of Strachan's duds have been ones that he's spent decent money on. Donati and Virgo are defo duds, Brown has been disappointing especially when you consider the money spent on him and JVoH tends to divide opinion, he's certainly not a £3m player. I'm sure there could be another couple i'm missing as well.

Anyway, the point i'm trying to make is that his high-profile ones have been duds.

Just remembered Gravesen as well although we all thought he would do well, can't be faulted for that.
