On a similar note Rangers are have stepped up their bid to bag Davis on a permanent now that Ferguson's out.
Whether or not he's a starter is only part of the equation. There'll be more competition for places which made a hell of a difference in the latter half of last season.

Lenny Pidgely and Jim O'Brien to Fir Park.
Pidgely is ex-Chelsea and Millwall keeper, he's 24 and showed good promise coming through and played with England at U-21 level but has struggled of late to find form, could be great or shite.
O'Brien, I don't know how he's gonna turn out. Any of the Celtic Minded on here keep an eye on the youth teams enough to cast some light over him.

Kennedy to Motherwell in a 6 month loan deal.
I'd rather it was for a full season but as he's a good player and if he gets back to fitness he'd start every week for us and then go back to Celtic at Christmas leaving a big hole in our side. Still though a very good player who willdo a great job for for 6 months.

I rate Jim O'Brien, never seems to get a run wherever he goes so a good loan deal with an attack minded side would be good for him.
I think O'Brien is being released and he'd be a proper signing.
Kennedy is a loan deal and is now confirmed, he's in Austria with us. I'd love him to be a permanent signing but it's not gonna happen.

Ahh, I misread that about O'Brien. I think he'll do well actually.
Kennedy's a cracking loan to get. Strong, quicker than you think and actually good with the ball at his feet.
I like both our current centre backs but I still think Kennedy slots in ahead of them, will it be for Craigen or Reynolds though? That's a tough one.
