Mileson carries most of the blame here. Wanker.

Not a walk in the park anyway.

Carlisle and a few English non league clubs did. I would absolutely shite myself if a multi-millionaire with no history supporting Morton came in and bought us.

| Re: Gretna's nightmare turns back into a fairytale? Brooks Mileson gave Gretna assurances. As stupid as Gretna were you can't blame the players for signing for them. They're the ones with families to feed and it's not just players. There are people at Gretna such as the groundsman, tea lady and god knows what else who've been there for years and are going without wages.

| Re: Gretna's nightmare turns back into a fairytale? When Gretna go down and if they go out of business does that mean the Midden go down? SPL rules state there must be promotion and relegation. Does that also mean there will be 2 new faces in the SPL next year? All of which if true would be good. |

So fucking what if East Stirling etc have fewer games in a season, judging from their attendances they're not going to be missed by that many fans. The sooner the lower league flotsam makes more room for the clubs with infrastructure, success and ambition the better.

| Re: Gretna's nightmare turns back into a fairytale? East Stirling might get kicked out this year if they finish bottom anyway. Could see two new league clubs.

| Re: Gretna's nightmare turns back into a fairytale? Has there ever been any other instance of a league bailing out a team from going into administration by paying them to stay alive?
First I've heard of it.
Not that it suprises me, right enough.
Anything to stop Rangers having a disadvantage eh?
Wouldn't be suprised if big moonbeams himself was bankrolling it! |
