How I've reached it (
if yer interested) is, Strachan didn't care for Lennon, & vice a versa. There views on the game often clashed, as demonstrated in last years cup final.
Strachan already has
plenty coaching staff there.
He is always does the opposite of anything anyone trys to tell him, especially regarding his job, because it's his nature.
Would would he want another coach in? (Especially Lennon) if he thinks the players he has are playing excellent (Caldwell) and think's he is doing a grand job himself?
We already have Tommy Burns (you don't get much more Celtic Minded than that,
surely?)
All I have heard out of ANY Celtic fan RE: the way we play is "We don't have a leader" "Get Strachan Out: We need a Celtic man in"....phone ins/papers/the lot.
Neil Lennon: A Celtic man & a proven leader. 2 birds, 1 stone.
It also allows Strachan to stay to keep making profit for the side and for the fans to have their "celtic minded leader" on board.
Strachan hasn't listened to us before...he has never gave into peer pressure.
So why would he now?
My answer is: He hasn't.
Lawwell, Reid & Co. have seen the rising tensions in the stands (dwindling crowds, growing unrest) and decided to curb it.
It's a good idea, but I've a funny feeling it was put to him, rather than him "asking" for Lennon to join.
It's no' rocket science.
