| Re: Zenit St. Petersburg Vs Rangers (UEFA Cup Final) Is there anywhere in Glasgow other than Ibrox thats showing the game on a big screen?
My neighbour was wanting to take their kids to watch the game but can't get tickets for Ibrox and that only leaves the pubs as far as I'm aware which rules out taking the kids. |

Or sports centre? Or Golf club? At the very least they would be more child-friendly than the pubs.

| Re: Zenit St. Petersburg Vs Rangers (UEFA Cup Final) None in EK that I know of whichis why shes branching out into glasgow. The only 'child friendly' places we know that are showing the game are the brewers fayre type pubs but you can only have kids in the pub bit until about half way through the game and even then theres never any atmosphere in those places for watching football which is what shes looking for. |

i wouldnt risk it though to be fair.

| Re: Zenit St. Petersburg Vs Rangers (UEFA Cup Final) I'm trying to work out when we should leave. It'll take about four to four an a half hours to drive down, and none of us are drinking now thanks to them deciding that we'd drive a quarter each (basically 2 people drive on way down, and 2 on way back). It'll be absolutely hoaching, but I've got a parking place sorted out, a friend of my boss lives in a residential area near the stadium and has off street parking. I reckon leaving just before three should be fine.
I assume the rest of you guys who're heading down are already away because public transport doesn't hammer the fuck out of the motorways? |

| Re: Zenit St. Petersburg Vs Rangers (UEFA Cup Final) You're cutting it fine for leaving at 3 - you'll get stuck in rush hour traffic somewhere on the way down and the motorways will be mobbed anyway. |

I'm thinking about just going to his work and picking him up so we can leave asap.
But, Zippy, it's not like I'm going to miss much. As long as I'm there in time for the penalties! Quote:

iPhones, googlemaps, AA website and traffic master - being a sad fuck comes in handy sometimes.

| Re: Zenit St. Petersburg Vs Rangers (UEFA Cup Final) Please God don't let this be a terrible UEFA Cup final. I was at the Sevilla v Espanyol one at Hampden and it was brilliant. I know it went to penalties, but there were four goals, and every time Sevilla would take the lead Espanyol would equalise. Being a neutral every time Sevilla scored I wanted Espanyol to win, then when Espanyol equalised I wanted Sevilla to win.
I can't see tonight's game being as full of flair, or open, but I hope both teams make a game of it and it doesn't end up like the Juventus v Parma final of 94/95. |
