| Czech Republic v Scotland, 30th May. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ls/7387293.stm Quote: |
Motherwell striker Ross McCormack is one of five uncapped players in George Burley's Scotland squad to face the Czech Republic in Prague on 30 May. Rangers pair Kevin Thomson and Steven Whittaker, Hearts defender Christophe Berra and West Brom midfielder James Morrison could win their first caps.
| Scotland squad: Goalkeepers: Gordon (Sunderland), Marshall (Norwich) Defenders: Anderson (Sunderland), Berra (Hearts), Caldwell (Celtic), Dailly (Rangers), Hutton (Tottenham), McManus (Celtic), McNaughton (Cardiff), Naysmith (Sheff Utd), Whittaker (Rangers) Midfielders: Fletcher (Man Utd), Hartley (Celtic), Morrison (West Brom), Rae (Cardiff), Robson (Celtic), Thomson (Rangers) Forwards: Boyd (Rangers), Fletcher (Hibs), McCormack (Motherwell), McFadden (Birmingham), Maloney (Aston Villa), Miller (Derby)
I've got the time off work, and flights booked. Anyone else looking forward to this one as a nice little end of season break, and excuse for a piss-up? |

Good to see Thompson on the side, thoroughly deserves it.

| Re: Czech Republic v Scotland, 30th May. Weir should just retire from international football... rather than being frozen out.
Fergie getting surgery, i know that much...
Ma team from that squad would be Gordon
Hutton McManus Caldwell Naysmith
Fletcher Hartley Thomson Robson
McFadden Boyd.
Think McFadden would do the work for boyd.

| Re: Czech Republic v Scotland, 30th May. Am I the only person who thinks Boyd will never be a starter for Scotland AND Rangers until he stops being such a lazy cunt?
Don't get me wrong, I think he's great, but too lazy. I don't think any modern managers will take a chance on him with his poor work ethic. Faddy will not run around daft just so Boyd can sit in the box.

| Re: Czech Republic v Scotland, 30th May. McManus probably won't play considering he's struggling for fitness now, I'd put a centre back pairing of Caldwell and Berra for a laugh. |

i was considering putting caldwell and berra together... worth a try. Then we might put a sly bid in for berra.

| Re: Czech Republic v Scotland, 30th May. I'm going over for the game, should be good fun in Prague but i think we'll get pumped given the number of call-offs we have.
I think reasons for people not playing
Brown and Ferguson are both having surgery, Weir is knackered, McGregor is injured. I thought none of the Celtic players could play as they were having a friendly in Japan? Probably will be a few call-offs, as to be expected this time of year.
FAO Stew, McCormack and Miller upfront would be total shite surely? |
