| EPL & SPL Winners and Relegation: The Vote before the Transfer Window. This is the sort of stuff that seperates the men from the boys. Call the EPL and SPL winners and the teams that will be relegated before the summer transfers are made.
This thread will be closed at midnight on the 30th of June before the transfer window opens on the 1st July.
Post, and/or vote.
e: As the poll system only allows one poll per thread, I've put in order the most likely teams to win the EPL, get relegated from the EPL, win the SPL and get relegated from the SPL. So you can vote in that semblance of an order, and put your reasons for your choices in the thread for some banter. |

| Re: EPL & SPL Winners and Relegation: The Vote before the Transfer Window. Mine are: Win the EPL: Arsenal - if they bring in a few players to exapand the squad and continue on like they did this season, but with the added experience of failing at the end I think they can push on and do it. Relegated from the EPL: Bolton, Stoke and West Brom - I think Bolton have lost it since Fat Sam left for Newcastle, and even more since they sold Anelka. With rumours that Diouf is for the off as well, I don't think they can attract the sort of player that can replace them and keep them up next season. Stoke, I fear for them since I've seen them at times in the Championship and they haven't looked solid enough as a unit from midfield to defence and in the EPL I fear they could go the way of Derby. As for West Brom, I think they have a very good chance since they're the 'Arsenal of the Championship', but they've always had the creative players to outscore teams in the Championship, their frail defence may come back to haunt them in the EPL. Win the SPL: Celtic - They're my team and I believe they have the squad to win the SPL every year these days. A few signings in the summer, particularly a ball winning midfielder and a striker and we're laughing. Relegated from the SPL: Hamilton - I can't see them staying up, even if I do look forward to seeing them play. They've a cracking youth development system that gives the kids in Hamilton every chance to make it and run their club the way lower level teams should. James McCarthey, if they keep him, should be interesting coming up against guys like Hartley, Ferguson etc every week too. But I don't think they'll have enough to stay up/ |

| Re: EPL & SPL Winners and Relegation: The Vote before the Transfer Window. Alrighty: EPL Winners: Chelsea. EPL Relgation: Bolton, Stoke and West Brom. SPL Winners: Celtic. SPL Relegation: Hamilton. EPL.
I just have a feeling Chelski are going to buy big to come back stronger next year. Stoke will go down due to their poor squad, the major Bolton stars are going to abandon ship due to the terrible performance this year, that combined with their shit manager and their going down. West Brom's style of football is far too open in the EPL. They will leave to much space for Ronaldo, Rosicky, Cole, et al to take advantage of, so will go down. I do expect they will prove value for money though. SPL
Celtic will win it next year, I expect them to make some moves to strengthen after a mediocre performance this year. Hamilton will go down due to the poor quality of their squad.
EDIT - Haha identical to Stew with the exception of Chelsea! I done this without looking at your predictions either mate.

| Re: EPL & SPL Winners and Relegation: The Vote before the Transfer Window. It doesn't really need bumped since it's a 'stuck' thread at the top of the football sub-forum, pal, but it makes for some interesting reading so far, even.
So far Stoke and Bolton are pulling away in opinions for relegation candidates for the EPL, and with Celtic having a lead in the opinions for SPL winners, and Hamilton looking doomed. |

| Re: EPL & SPL Winners and Relegation: The Vote before the Transfer Window. I do this every year in the pub. We do all the leagues though (English and Scottish) and all the cups & Champions League.
Me and a guy both won it this year with 8 right each. The lower leagues in England are mental to try and predict. Would have won it outright if Rangers won the league or Forfar didn't finish bottom. Still but £225 notes.
SPL : Rangers
SPL Losers : St Mirren
EPL: Man Yoo
EPL Losers: Stoke (bottom), Fulham and Sunderland

How come Hull's not an option in the poll?
