| Re: Why is it? Can't be that regular. I've been to hundreds of football matches and only ever saw one fight in that whole time. Between two friends and it had nothing to do with football.
But, hey, let's generalise. It can be just as fun as being rational.

Pubs and the streets around them are far more likely locations.

| Re: Why is it? I don’t believe that football causes violence. I do believe that a lot of the most vocal and/or visible football fans in Glasgow cause violence though. Sad but true.

Don't blame the football, blame the fans.

| Re: Why is it? But man, there are so many thousands of this kinda fan. You can easily be a vocal/visible football fan without being threatening or whatever in the slightest. It really is a minority that cause trouble.

Seems I was wrong, if the radios anything to go by. Le sigh.

A group of people on the footy forum who most of the time I think are alright people but when I see them posting in here I wonder what the hell is wrong with them.
Your right I don't understand football "fans" and what makes them tick.

Your right I don't understand football "fans" and what makes them tick. | I don't get Alt Nation and it's stance on the football forum - how much traffic through your site does it generate, i.e. how many of the total daily posts on average are in the football forum? Probably quite a lot yet some of the mod decisions border on the stupid, the one yesterday was fair enough but Hammer's going about editting things and not offering any kind of explanation as to why. Mibbe Watty just thinks Rangers fans are scum, much like Rev Skateboard thinks everyone is scum but you're not editting his posts. I reported a post about the removal of the word hun (which was a complete turnaround from what you said in your thread where you made a poll about it) and instead of getting an explanation the only folk that seemed to offer any kind of feedback was DJToast and GKR and then a few days later my reported post was closed and I'm still none the wiser on AN's stance on the word!
The football forum has always had a bit of back and forward, away back in the day of SportBilly and Lars it was the same so don't act as if it's a new thing - it's only more prominent near the end of an exciting season. 90% of the posters on the football forum know each other, have spoken to each other IRL and there's no bad feeling so instead of trying to alienate a section of the site which brings in more traffic than most try and understand it a bit. |

When it comes to Rev he's been moderated a good few times when we knew his post was "just to piss people off" and no other reason. I don't really take a huge active roll in moderating so Toast and GKR and Les are the main mods who would previously have delt with it. Now though it's Foxglove.
Basic stance on HUN and TIM is still they arn't allowed. Quote:

That you all spend most of your time trying to get one up on each other and the rest of the time dicking us about because the other bunch have tried to get one up on you. Quote:
