Different kettle of fish I know but they said that about Paul Le Guen.

What, you'd rather a pair of evil spooks like the Scolaris were left to roam around scaring people and covering the place in sticky ectoplasm?

Plus the change in daily training etc.
An international manager with experience in club management is the best option Chelsea had. He's used to being able to pick and choose players with huge egos and mould them into a team; that's exactly what they need at Chelsea where it's all superstars and money is apparently no object.

I think it's a fantastic appointment and can see Chelsea doing really well next season.

I don't think there are that many ego's at Chelsea, are there?
(I stand to be proved wrong)
But Chelsea seem to me, to have a team of solid pro's.

I had a bit of a mental block when trying to get across what I meant. I was trying to say that Scolari is a good choice for the Chelsea job since, as an international manager, he is used to dealing with big names, big egos, and being able to pick the best (he is reported to have £100m to spend), and it's similar to international management since at Chelsea he doesn't have to bother with bringing through young talent and all the other things managers at teams like Blackburn or Middlesbrough have to do - he can concentrate on bringing in the best, working with the best and winning.

Does that make more sense?

As for the egos. I'd say a lot of the players would have to have big egos. Obviously no-one is going to come out and say it so it's just speculation, but I'd reckon the likes of Ballack, maybe Drogba and Ashley Cole have huge egos.
