The following is an edited transcript of Newcastle interim manager Joe Kinnear's first official press conference yesterday JK Which one is Simon Bird [Daily Mirror's north-east football writer]? SB Me. JK You're a cunt.
| Right from the off you know it is going to be great, definitely worth a read!
Edit: There's audio of the Kinnear conference here: http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/1624541/

| Re: Today's Football (Round 2) Fucking hell Arsenal. Are you trying to give me a heart attack? Shite backpass results in Cisse running between the centre backs and getting it, and Almunia having to come out and smother the shot.
Almost 20 minutes in and normal service hasn't been resumed since Fabregas just hit a shot from.. about 30 yards. Surely he knows he's meant to pass, pass and pass some more till it's passed to someone who's over the goal line? Edit: Holy crap, Nakamura has done something and it's 1-0 Celtic. Samaras on for JVoH after just three minutes due to injury. Fuck sakes!

Arsenal is still 0-0, but someone text in an interesting fact about the Arsenal team that's out there today. The team on the pitch cost approx £16.65m. About the same as one position at Chelsea. Quote:

Blackburn are likely to be without goalkeeper Paul Robinson who is struggling to shake off a calf injury.
Vince Grella is also a doubt, while Benni McCarthy is back in training but is unlikely to start.
Wayne Rooney is a doubt for Manchester United after injuring his ankle in the midweek European win at Aalborg.
Paul Scholes was carried off in that match with medial ligament damage and joins Owen Hargreaves and Michael Carrick on the sidelines. Blackburn (from): Brown, Robinson, Bunn, Nelsen, Samba, Ooijer, Warnock, Emerton, Olsson, Tugay, Derbyshire, Santa Cruz, Villanueva, Fowler, Andrews, Fowler, Grella, Treacy, Pedersen. Man Utd (from): Van der Sar, Amos, Neville, Brown, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Ronaldo, O'Shea, Fletcher, Anderson, Giggs, Nani, Tevez, Berbatov, Rooney, Welbeck.

I need to fit some six-a-sides in there too. |

Roy Carrol has just been sent off for Derby. Haha.

Don't worry about Roy Carrol, he probably had £100 on it. |
