Those bastards Real Madrid drew 2-2 with Espanyol earlier on there, and Milan drew 0-0 away at Cagliari. Oh, and Lyon lost 3-0 to Rennes. What the hell's going on?! |

| Re: Today's Football (Round 2) Novo wouldn't sign for Celtic...I didn't realise we were on the hunt for a rat in the January transfer window. Quote:
Rangers striker Nacho Novo says that no amount of money could convince him to sign for Celtic.
The Spaniard has been on the end of abuse from Celtic supporters, recently needing security after his home address was posted on an unofficial Celtic message-board.
But, in the age when players are said to only care about money, he insists he would never play in the hoops.
"Rangers have treated me so well, the fans have become like a family to me,” Novo told a Spanish football magazine.
"No matter how much money was put in front of me, I would never sign for Celtic."
“Things have changed because players from other countries keep coming to the Old Firm and bringing completely different cultures with them,” he continued in the interview quoted in the Mail on Sunday.
"But the rivalry between the teams remains something more than sporting. I have even received death threats this year.
"I have seen on YouTube there is a video with a guy singing with his guitar that he hopes I die. That kind of thing has an impact on you. "In the four years I have been here, I have been through everything. Every time I face Celtic, the tyres of my car are punctured, the windows of my house are broken and I have been sent threatening letters. It is a pretty disagreeable situation." | Pay attention to the bit in bold at the bottom. Novo is claiming that 4 times minimum a season he has his tyres slashed, his windows are broken and he gets threatening letters. Now the letters I can believe but the tyres and the windows?? You'd think this would have made the news before now considering someone posting his address on the internet was front page news a few weeks ago. |
