Tackles to Celtic players don't count.
It was 0-0 when the tackle was made, mean Celtic would have had to bring on Mark Brown for an outfield player.
But aye yeese would have probably still won.
Motherwell, Utd, what the fucks the difference to some London hack?

Guess what card the referee showed here.

Nowhere near the actual point, but what is nowadays?

Don't you?
Do it or don't. I've got places to be.
The challenge itself was a yellow card, he didn't stop a goalscoring opportunity. The tackle by the St Mirren player that I've shown on the last page wasn't even a yellow card and it's a more career threatening injury than Boruc's tackle was. Going in studs up on a players shin is a horrific tackle.
Dunno lads, I've not seen the replays but I winced at the time.
If yer keeper is out and beaten, its as good a goal scoring oppertunity as yer likely to get. I mean, you can get a red for being the last man and commiting a tackle 40/50 yards from goal, with the keeper still on his line....think it's a bit of a grey area/daft, and I can deffo see the ref's logic in not sending him off, but I'd be a lieing bastard if I didn't think it should have been red for the big man.
Like me and you he loves a bevvy too!![]()
I don't think it's long before he starts using the "C" word.
He's starting to sound a bit para.
A defender won't get sent off for being "the last man" anymore, because more often than not there will still be a keeper to beat. So the ref has to judge wether or not it's a "clear goal scoring opportunity".
In this case it wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity, so I can see why he never got a red. But as Zippy said, the ref was consistant throughout the game.

That's my point though.
If he is the last man (defender wise) he HAS to go.
That's what is generally accepted as a goal scoring oppertunity.
I just think it's a bit daft that if yer keeper is out, makes a challenge outside the box, but a player is reaching the line, and its called as "not a clear oppertunity", when In my opinion it'd be easier to score against a defender on the line than a keeper diving at yer feet and able to use all limbs.
A bit of savvy needed on the ref's part, but that's just my opinion.
The ref played to the rules - he wasn't the last man, so it was at his discretion, but I'd have been beeling if it happened to us.
It's not as black and white as that though, the player was just outside the (right hand) corner of the 18yd box, heading in the direction of the corner flag.
Anyway, it's over now and we've won 11 on the trot.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has chosen 21-year-old Spaniard Cesc Fabregas to replace William Gallas as captain. Hopefully that gives Fabregas the kick up the arse he needs to get back into some sort of good form.

I'd love if Villa get 4th spot this year and Arsenal finish 5th.

I want Arsenal to finish about sixth or seventh this season so there is more pressure on Wenger to spend money on players who'll actually improve the team in the short term.
Know what I'll proper love? Celtic getting four in a row and another season of second place for the Gers. You must be used to that these days though.
