Nah. Nothing to do with this. Your club is in the hands of people who are only in it for the profile it gives them. My club was bought over by a malicious wee cunt who wanted rid of us. Your club was behind the original SPL split which caused/causes great harm to Scottish Football with, as of yet, no noticable benefits apart from monetary ones to an elite.
Hardly the working class ethics you preach of?

How would transfers work?
How would the team maintain itself without selling assets to make money?
How would the club be run?

So what you want is a system where the players play purely for the love of the game?
Take a left at Cathcart Rd then. There's a big stadium there, pretty easy to get to, where a wee team called Queen's Park play

We understand well the abolishment of capitalism and we understand that a lot of the current football system is exploitative and corrupt. However it's mostly exploitative and corrupt at the upper eschalons of the game. So while he can slag off Hibs for getting really good money for their players and go on about how he'd rather spend £10 and have some terracing he willfully adds to the capitalist regime at Celtic Football Club PLC and refuses to take his blinkers off when anyone slags it off.
I just don't see how slagging off Hibs is gonna have the ruling class quaking in their boots

To be fair... I sympathise from where Maximus is coming from.
It'd be great if football was similar to the old days in terms of football being less about money and more about nurturing talent than buying foreign. But times have changed... football has to move with the times.
The bottom-line is Petrie has moved with the times and is doing a good job and ensuring the future of Hibernian FC.
