I gotta say to have a striker of his quality available on a free is a nonsense. He should be playing for one of the big clubs. I'd rate him above Adebayor, Berbatov and Kuyt anyway

He might be better than those players
but no big club will sign him if he's gonna be injured for majority of the season.
He needs to sort out his fitness, if he doesnt he'll be goin no wher big.

He played the last few months of the season and has, for the first time in a long time, got a full summer ahead to recover. Considering the drop in wages he'll probably take as well as no transfer fee: fucking great buy

Plus the fans wouldn't have him.
Hopefully Everton can stay injury free next season and have a decent attack anyway.
Blackburn could also be in with a shout, they just got around £18m for Santa Cruz so they could offer him a large wage if there's no transfer fee. | |
