Makes a statement like that, then says doesn't watch scotland... and then doesn't realise st mirren and broadfoot play in the spl.

Caldwell has had some bad luck over the last few games, but he was tremendous last season.

    Unlucky really for celtic.

Think it's a bit shite that Caldwell becomes the scapegoat when stuff like this happens. Fact is the whole team's passing was slack and pretty shocking, which only heaps pressure on the centre back. If the fullback allows his man to do what he wants and put a ball in like that all a centre back can really do is try and get a leg in the way and get rid of it. In fact if anything the way things have went for Caldwell shows he's the only one willing to actually take charge and try and get in the way. If it was McManus you can bet your house he would have stood and watched or maybe tried to handball it away like a dafty.

Aye, we couldn't get near them. We played well in patches but overall even the Celtic team with Hartson, Larsson and Sutton would struggle against that Arsenal team and we're nowhere near the level we were 5-6 years ago.

Good game. 2 really unlucky goals. We played well and even though we're 2 down and with away goals we could still pull a blinder and sneak next wednesday. Arsenal didn't look like they were going to beat Boruc when going forward.

    Bring on St Johnstone.........

When they scored the second you can see Caldwell having to fill in because the right back was way out of position. The question should be why did Hinkel let the man in behind him and then pick the cross but obviously the cunts on AN don't know much about football so we get 'Caldwell, lol' etc.

Aye exactly. People seem to forget the ample games he kept Celtic in last season awfully quickly. McManus is doubly diabolical but he's the darling cause he's a Celtic boy through and through. Caldwell's an easy target. Played out of position in his first while at the club then continuously got better when given the chance, to the point that he developed into the best centre back at the team.

McManus isn't the darling amongst Celtic fans, you'll not find one who rates him higher than Loovens nevermind Caldwell.
