| Re: Rangers heading to administration? Na me neither. Can you Imagine if the big game of the season was against hibs, See this Lloyds are still owned 43% by the tax payer is pish we have paid most of it back now. But they have been reducing costs left right and center to cover the debt from buying HBOS. So doubt ti will be administration but the bank wont think twice about selling the clubs assets, basically the players.
I mean how much would rangers first 11 come to in total. You might struggle to pay off the debt. |

| Re: Rangers heading to administration? Rangers can't pay off their debt if they sold the entire first team.
I want to see Rangers dealt with the exact same way Celtic were, when we were in a similar position.
The phone-in should be a belter tonight btw.
There will be journos who STILL wont have a bad word said about Rangers.
I expect the new Chairman will be stepping down soon, it was only a week ago he said the banks weren't involved with Rangers.

THE Board of Directors of The Rangers Football Club plc ("Club") is aware of the recent speculation and various comments in the media over the weekend.
The Club's board has been advised by its principal shareholder, Murray International Holdings Limited ("MIH"), that it is considering options regarding its shareholding in the Club and this may or may not lead to MIH disposing of some or all of its stake in the Club to a third party.
These considerations are still at an early stage and may or may not lead to any offer for the issued shares of the Club.
The directors of the Club will keep shareholders advised of key developments.
In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, the Club announces that, as at the close of business on 26 October 2009, it has issued share capital of £10,879,150.

I.e £1 for the club and he'll take on the debt.

Assets - Players, Stadium, Murray Park (which is owned by a 3rd company I'm sure)
Cashflow and comparisons with others in the sector.
What something is worth and what someone will pay for it are two different things though.
MIH for example have about 100's of millions invested in Rangers, then there is the debt, then there is the value of the club which the bank have placed at 30Million. (this is all in the paper today btw).
I doubt very much if someone would be willing to pay 100's of millions of pounds for what is a club on it's knees though.
