| Hun & Tim "2. Do not post pointless comments on gender, race, age or anything that promotes hate!"
That taken from the rules of the forum, I include 'Tim' and 'Hun' in that. If your posting and using those terms offensively then expect to get banned or have your post moderated.
We had a fairly big discussion about this a while back and came to the conclusion that most ranger players found the term 'Hun' offensive 'Tim' isn't always taken as offensive but it can be used offensively!
I realise you all like a bit of banter like everyone else but think before you post because as I've said before ... Quote: |

So for the record I think that 22 men chasing a pigs bladder (apparently it's leather/plastic now) around a field is a game, personally I don't find it a very interesting game. I'd much rather see the 22 men fenced in and covered in pig scent and have a wild boar with metal caps on it's tusks released on to the field with them.
So having read that you can guess that I have absolutely no interest either way in any of these Rangers/Celtic debates, I call it how I see it. If you don't like it complain to me I'll happily listen to you. | This basically means if I read a post and think it's offensive expect me to ban you for a day. Same as if I see a sig/avatar thats offensive.

| Re: Hun & Tim I've read all the arguements. I read all the same arguements last time! I nearly closed the football forum the last time because of this sort of thing. Banters fine but when it starts to offend people it's where the line is drawn.

| Re: Hun & Tim Ah...but the closure was just a scam to see if everyone would stand up and take notice. I read it . I'm definetly not sectarian and use the word...I just found extremely over the top to ban it. You won't ban "yer maw" jokes will you? Heh...anyways...your the boss and I'll respect the rules....grudgingly. |

| Re: Hun & Tim No..you see Hun isn't sectarian. I already said all this in the other thread. It's a term used for Rangers fans that they don't like very much. Both sets of the Old Firm were calling each other it in the 70's but it stuck with Rangers fans. Are you going to ban Rangers fans from calling Aberdeen fans Sheep-Shaggers? Where does it end? |

| Re: Hun & Tim I think the deal is that whether or not "Hun" is sectarian or not, it can obviously be inteperated that way and by simply not using a 3 letter word (and lets face it, using soemthing else isn't that hard) saves you the hassle of an argument. |

Where does it end? | Why can't you just accept that its banned and fucking let it be. Also, I'm sure you'll agree that a sig that supports terrorism in any way is bang outta order, whether its the IRA, the UFF, the UVF, or anything of that sort its highly offensive and simply shouldn't be allowed.
Thats pretty much what I think of the issue, and I shall leave it at that because this is something that has been blown WAYYYYY out of proportion. |
