Call of Duty started in World War II and happily stayed there for 3 games to bring us some of the best WWII FPS games around, so how well does it transcend to modern day conflict?
You play as the SAS and the USMC switching between them as the story demands, a story which would happily sit in a Tom Clancy Novel. Starting off on a training mission, to allow those that haven't played before to get used to the controls, even a veteran player of these games like myself didn't feel bored, as it's presented like a actual training mission. Think cardboard cut outs in a mock up of a cargo ship.
On to the first real mission which sees you running about the real cargo ship with waves crashing over the side and a passable rolling motion being conveyed, in fact the graphics are stunning and easily some of the best I've seen in an FPS. The whole atmosphere...
