Highway Pursuit is a fantastic little game for those who fancy a little distraction. The objective is to last as long as you can and get the best high score. Be warned: your score gets posted on the games website for all to see, so you might want to avoid using your forum name if you have a pathetic score. You go straight into the gameplay here.
it’s a 3D driving game with you trying to avoid agents in cars and later on helicopters. Your car's main weapon is a machine gun which fires from the front of the car. Shooting enemy vehicles increases your points. This is not the only way to dispatch your enemies. As you progress through the game you will get informed of weapons trucks as you approach them. All you have to do is drive into the back of the truck (knightrider style) and you will have one of 3 possible James Bond style ways to get ride of enemy agents. These are oil slick (to send pursuing cars into a spin and explode), smokescreen (less effective than oil slick but still useful) and finally missiles (use these to destroy the helicopters). Your damage is displayed as a love heart at the bottom left of the screen. It will begin to empty as you receive damage. You can receive damage in a few ways, driving on the grass, hitting other cars on the road or hitting the random rocks that lay on the road. The helicopters drop bombs so watch out for them. This is one of those games that has no end you just try and survive for as long as you can.
